Die Scheune - The cow stable

Hello lovelies

After more than a year I decided to take some time to write a post.

Since 2018 I have been surrounded of new projects and ideas,  so there was not time to post a reasonable history. Sorry about that, but at least I hope you like this one:)

My husband and I were super busy with the renovation of an old,  dark and little cow barn, I felt in love of the idea of giving this little barn a face lifting so we took the challenge and started with the renovation work,  painting it, a tiny WC was installed and water was put on. Of course we had professional help as well :) because my husband works, and I have the kids at home, I work too, we used every free weekend and every free night to work on the farm but without the help of the professional workers, none of these could have been possible.

In the beginning I did not know exactly what to use this barn for, I just knew it that I needed a place to decorate, but as we were approaching to the end of the renovation work,  I decided that it  was to pitty to keep the place just for me, so, in principle it is kind of  a showroom, where retailers and store owners can come and see beautiful cloth from Jeanne d'Arc Living and place their orders so they can sell this lovely brand in their nice stores, then I use this barn to present all the painted furniture that I sell , besides nice home and garden products that you can buy either at our place or in our Onlineshop, we offer also selective Brocante things. In the barn,  you can find my handcraftings too, I love doing lot of things, painting, sweing etc and in this place I teach painting technics as well, for people who are creative and would like to learn new ways of painting their furniture, but I offer other type of courses too, creative courses, whatever it comes to my mind, I just love to be surrounded with nice people and spend a great and cozy and uncomplicated time doing some crafting and eating some cake together. We also have reaserved  a small corner where my friend Yvonne  sells her homemade delicious bread and coffee.

The plan was/is having the barn open every Saturday from Spring to Fall time, since we do not have heating, it would be to cold to open during winter time, but of course outside this time, you are always welcome to make an appointment to see and collect.

So let me show you some pictures of before and after, take into considereation that we used  80% salvage material from the barn itself to rebuilt. What so you think?  I really would love to read your comments about it, it was such hard and intensive work, we are exhausted but very proud, you have to sacrifice so many things to come to your target, so I am really  looking forward to read your thoughts and of course looking forward to new followers for our Insta Account :)

Please stay healthy and safe.

I wish you a wonderfuld Easter Time
